Megan F. Carpenter, MNT, CNTP
Master Nutrition Therapist/Certified Nutritionist
Owner of Root to Rise Nutrition
As a holistic nutritionist, Megan believes that food is the foundation for health and wellness. She strives to get to the underlying cause of illness through a specialized approach that includes individual assessments to accurately evaluate nutrient deficiencies, metabolic imbalances, and food sensitivities. Instead of just focusing on calorie counts and macronutrient breakdowns (protein, fat, carbs), she determines which foods will best support your individual needs.
Her goal is to help people discover how food can positively affect their physical and emotional health, empower them to take charge of their well-being through nutrition, and demonstrate how whole foods can bring about whole body changes.
Megan completed the two-year master’s level certification program at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, earning degrees as a Master Nutrition Therapist and Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner. She is currently preparing to take the exam to be Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition. Before Megan began on her healthcare journey, she attended The University of Texas at Austin where she obtained her BS and BA.
15 Minute Consultation
Have you ever wondered what functional nutrition is and if it may be right for you?
Root to Rise Nutrition at Gateway Family Chiropractic offers a 15 minute complimentary visit. During this visit you can meet and speak with Megan for 15 minutes where you can discuss the benefits and approach of functional nutrition, and how it can help you reach your health goals.
This face-to-face time can allow both you and Megan to decide if functional nutrition can be of benefit for you or if a referral to another discipline is more appropriate.
Note: this is only a general consultation; Megan cannot offer any type of treatment or diagnosis during this time.
